Just in case you didn’t know, much of your working life is dicatated by a set of policies and procedures that are created, maintained, revised and sometimes changed by your local school board.That is why it is important to get involved with researching candidates that want to govern the operation of your school district and ultimately, your working environment. The Cy-Fair AFT urges all employees to take an active role in researching the candidates that are running for School Board in the November 3rd Elections.
Postion 3 is up for election-Louis Bertoli is the incumbent and there are 2 contenders vying for the spot as well :Willaim R. Morris and Wallace Sofka.
Position 4 is up for election– Lida Woodul is the incumbent and there are 2 contenders vying for the spot as well: Willie Wright and Scott Jeffrey Adams.
YOU will have an opportunity to attend a public candidate forum on October 15th, 2009 in the Board room at the ISC. The forum will begin with the candidates introducing themselves and providing relevant information concerning their candidacy, followed by a formal question-and-answer session. The Q & A forum allows the public to learn about the candidates' views and plans for Cy-Fair ISD, and ultimately for YOU, as the employee. Cy-Fair AFT strongly encourages you to attend!
